Readiness software for gyms and health clubs
The report that keeps members coming back. One hour-long questionnaire tells each member how ready they are to train hard right now, what’s holding them back and what to go easy on. They can use it on their own, and your coaches can use it too.
Drawn from 89 published sources · 124 people have done the questionnaire · Made in Brisbane
Members answer one questionnaire on their phone when they join.
Every member gets their own report in plain English: how ready they are and what’s holding them back.
A check-in every week keeps them on track, and your coaches see who needs them first.

The problem
They come in, train hard and eat well, and nothing much changes. The program wasn’t wrong. They just weren’t ready for it yet, and nobody checked. So they lose heart, and they cancel.
In one long-running study of a single gym, almost two in three new members had cancelled within three months. Sperandei, Vieira and Reis, Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, 2016.
Most members can handle the training. They can’t recover from it.
Across 97 people so far, the training questions score best and sleep and stress score worst. In 35 full reports, recovery was the main limit 17 times. Fitness and strength never were.
Every member who quits like this is one you could have kept.
Why it matters for your club
Most members quit because they stopped seeing progress, not because they stopped caring. A readiness report shows every member how ready they are to train hard right now, and gives them a reason to keep coming back.
The questionnaire is done when they sign up, the weekly check-in gives every member a reason to keep coming back, and it shows their coach who’s slipping before they cancel.
Each report shows a member where a coach would help, so your PTs start the conversation with something real to say.
Anyone can sell a membership. You’d be the club that tells every member how ready they are to train hard right now.
Members do it on their phone. Coaches see their list. Nothing for the front desk to run.
Not just the ones who pay for PT. Every member gets their own report, in plain English.
It can carry your club’s name and look throughout.
Stored in Australia and never sold. Anyone whose answers need a doctor is told to see their GP first.
A check-in every week keeps members engaged. Engaged members get results, and members who get results stay.
How it rolls out at your club

Your coaches see their members’ readiness from day one.
Across everyone who’s done the questionnaire
Most members train as if they are. Every report tells the member which of three readiness levels they’re at.
Their answers point to very little recovery. More training usually adds to the load rather than helping.
Help them recover before you ask for more.
They have good weeks and bad weeks, so progress comes and goes.
Build them up, and ease off in the weeks they struggle.
Their answers point to good recovery, so a demanding plan is likely to suit them.
You can push them harder.
Everything in the report comes from 89 published sources on sleep, stress, training, nutrition and recovery, and a qualified professional can check where any part of it comes from.
What decides readiness
Every report rates the same four. Each is either not limiting, limiting, or the main limit: the one thing holding them back most right now. That one is where to start.
Can they recover?
How well they sleep, how much stress they’re carrying, and how quickly they bounce back after a hard session or a hard day.
Sleeping five hours with a stressful job? Harder training adds more than they can recover from.
Can they handle the training?
Where their fitness and strength are now, and any injuries or pain. Together these tell you how much training they can take this week.
New to lifting, or coming back from a sore knee? Start lighter and build.
Does their week leave room?
How much time they really have to train, sleep and eat properly around work, family and travel.
A four-day plan won’t happen in a week with two nights away.
Will the plan stick?
The everyday habits that decide whether they follow through: meals, drinking, routine, and how they handle a bad week.
Skips breakfast and drinks most weekends? Their plan needs to start there.

How it works
Readiness moves, so it’s checked every week. When readiness rises, it’s time to ask for more. When it slips, your coaches and team are told before it costs the member.
Alison’s first 12 weeks: Depleted at the start, Transitioning by week 6.

About an hour of questions gives how ready they are, what’s holding them back most and what to go easy on.

A short check-in, one tap from a text, and a reply from their coach.

A new report showing then against now, so the member sees how far they’ve come.

What every member gets

If they train with a coach
Coaches and PTs see their members on one list, sorted by who needs attention today, with a clear note of what to hold off on. Every member is checked the same way, not one coach’s guess against another’s.
Why this is new
A watch counts sleep and steps. A scan weighs muscle and fat. None of them tells the member what it all means for them, or what they’re ready for. Body Recode does.
Putting it all together used to take a specialist and an hour. Now every member gets it, the same careful way, every time.
What goes into a report
Where something needs a doctor, the report says so.
Ways to use it
Your club’s own readiness report, powered by Body Recode. Your brand is what members see.
Every member gets their report under the Body Recode name, ready to go.
Keep your member app or club system. Body Recode does the readiness report and the check-ins, and your coaches can copy any member’s report into the app they use. Want it connected to your club system? Talk to us.
Questions

No. Every member gets their own report in plain English and can use it on their own, whether they train alone, in classes or with a coach. If they do train with a coach, the coach can do more with it.
Very little. Members do the questionnaire on their phone, and coaches see their own list. There is nothing for the front desk to run.
No. No workouts, meal plans or supplements. What to do with the report stays with the member and their coach. It doesn’t promise results either: it shows what’s in the way.
No. It doesn’t diagnose anything. If an answer suggests something a doctor should look at, the report stops and asks the member to see their GP first.
No. It never softens to make a plan or a sale easier. If a member isn’t ready, the report says so.
